Darjeeling Zoo

Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Darjeeling Zoo) was established on 14th August,1958 in Darjeeling, West Bengal. It is the largest high altitude Zoo in India.  The park is named after Padmaja Naidu (ex-governor of West Bengal), daughter of Sarojini Naidu. The zoo is internationally recognized for its successful captive breeding programes for the Red Pandas, Snow Leopards, Tibetan Wolf and other endangered Himalayan species of Himalayas.
